Rabbi Aubrey Hersh was born and raised in London. He went on to study at Yeshiva for 8 years, firstly in Gateshead and then in Jerusalem - where he was fortunate enough to create a close and ongoing connection with Rabbi Zev Leff.

In 1991 he returned to the UK to work in media and advertising and since 1996 has been involved in education. His interests includes photography and travelling and he is an avid fan of Terry Pratchett.

In 1997 he joined JLE where he is now Senior Lecturer and in 2001 he created and directed their Leadership Training programme.

Since 2003 he has been involved in Holocaust education and has worked with the Imperial War Museum, Yad Vashem, the Galician Museum and Torah Umesorah as well as with Father Patrick Desbois and Sir Martin Gilbert and most recently with project Mesorah USA for whom he has a run a number of trips.

He has lectured in various locations around the world, including Canada, USA, Belgium, France, Hungary, Germany and Israel.  The lectures are in English, although he is conversant in French, Hebrew & Yiddish.

Rabbi Hersh lives in London with his wife, Devorah and their 3 children.
